ON THE BOARD
Laura Elmore has been serving on the Board for Friends of Birch State Park for over the past 8 years. She has enjoyed this park growing up, so this is very close to her heart. She is on the marketing team and also is on the committee for Birdies for Birch, an annual event. She recently hosted the Birch BBQ Event. ANNUAL
EVENT
What started out as a fun pumpkin carving contest with friends
20 years ago, has turned into an annual event. And has been raising money for local charities and fundraisers for the past six years. This event has raised money for Angel's Pediatric Heart House, HANDY, Island Paws Rescue, Jacob's Joy, and The McCluney Family who was one of the firefighters lost at sea in 2018.
Over $16,000 has gone to these charities.
